The hardest job in the Army

You told me the hardest job in the Army was being an Army wife.

I didn't know how hard it would be until you called me and told me you
were getting deployed. Now as I lay here writing this I am thinking about
you getting your tank ready. I am so scared but I am remembering the
words you told me, "I am to stubborn to die, honey". I am picturing our
sons face... How do I explain to a two year old why Daddy won't be home
for six or more months? I know that I must be strong... I have to hold our
family together until you return. We are so proud of the man, husband, and
Daddy that you are. We love you.

Dedicated to my loving husband PFC Vanacker
