Never See Home Again

 Never See Home Again

I watched the news today, there was a man on and here is what he had to say. "
The government grounds the Osprey today after another fatal crash". Another
fatal crash, more lives lost. Another Marine who won't make it home for the
holidays, another Marine who will never see home again. Yet here we go about
our merry way, laughing and celebrating the upcoming Christmas Day. Yet how can
I celebrate, when I know that other families are home waiting and praying for
the bodies of their dead to make it home to be laid in the ground, their lives
frozen in time ended on this date. No they wont ever grow old, they wont ever
retire, they walk on streets of gold now, and God says " They shall mount up
with wings as eagles, they shall run and not grown weary, they shall walk and
not faint." No they don't hurt, they're beyond it now. Though I didnt know them
I loved them somehow. They served me, they protected me, and forever grateful
will I be. To those who died this Monday, who never should have boarded the
Osprey that day.
