YOU TOOK MY HEART

YOU TOOK MY HEART

If I had known you were leaving so soon,
I wouldn't have wasted a moment with you.
I would've held your hand every chance I had,
And cherished the times we lay silent in bed.

I would've stayed awake to hear you breathe,
And not let sleep keep you from me.
I would've done anythign for you, you know.
So tell me why you had to go.

I miss you so much since we're apart.
I've never had somebody steal my heart,
But you took it with you when you went away.
As I watched my whole life fly away on that plane.
