The Unwanted Dream

 The Unwanted Dream

Curled up next to you feeling the warmth of your skin,

The smell of your body fills my lungs,

The strength of your protective arms makes me feel safe,

The Baby cries and wakes me up,

Stretching out the size of the empty Queen bed hits me,

The tears silently fall as I try to be strong,

For the daughter that misses him,

I cant let her see the pain I feel,

For all she knows is our strength and love,

I hold her in my arms and tell her its ok,

"Daddy will be Home soon",

I wipe away those silent tears,

As I once again shake off that Unwanted Dream.
